A dispute in a allotment garden has triggered a major police operation in Hamburg. According to initial findings, a party attended mainly by young men "under the influence of alcoholic beverages" was out of control, as stated in a statement of the investigators.

It had developed a "scramble", which then shifted to the street. There were more teenagers added, and a 21-year-olds have fired several shots with a firearm. No one was injured. The party was organized by a young woman.

According to police, witnesses dialed the emergency call and the police moved in with 24 patrol cars. The officers provisionally arrested 16 people, including the alleged shooter. Against the 21-year-olds a preliminary investigation was initiated because of the offense against the weapon law. All detainees were released after completing police action for lack of detention.
