The number of extreme right-wing protesters in Germany has increased significantly. From July to September 2018, according to findings of the Federal Government, 7614 neo-Nazis took part in 23 right-wing extremist rallies. In the same period of the previous year there were 3040 participants - less than half.

This emerges from a response of the Federal Government to a request from the left-wing fraction in the Bundestag, as the newspapers report to the Funke Mediengruppe. Overall, right-wing extremists organized according to government information in the first nine months of this year demonstrations with about 15,300 participants.

In 2017, almost 11,300 neo-Nazis had demonstrated on German streets and squares. Significantly higher numbers existed in 2015 and 2016, when the number of refugees who came to Germany was higher. In 2015, nearly 60,000 right-wing extremists took part in protests, in 2016 almost 30,000.
