A circus lioness has bitten a four-year-old at a demonstration in the Russian region of Krasnodar. Russian media showed video footage of the incident, which was apparently made by spectators.

The girl was badly injured in the attack. Russian authorities, however, described the condition of the child as stable. The ringmaster had been arrested.
