The "Süddeutsche Zeitung" has discovered in the review of an article before the publication of abnormalities and then informed the SPIEGEL, because the author has written as a freelance journalist also texts that have appeared on SPIEGEL ONLINE and SPIEGEL. Most of the publications on SPIEGEL ONLINE first appeared on another medium.
The SPIEGEL documentation is currently examining the 43 publications. So far, no evidence of deliberate manipulation has been found. In one case, verification is not possible because the author describes personal experiences.
For around half of the articles, the review is not over yet. If there are any indications of manipulation, the SPIEGEL will make the results public after completion of the review process.
