A woman gave birth to a baby at the edge of a highway in East Hesse. The 28-year-old did not make it to the hospital in time before the birth, police said.
Accordingly, her husband stopped at the roadside of the B84 near Hünfeld. The police led the traffic past the car, an ambulance helped at birth.
The healthy kid's name is Felix, said a police spokesman. "So the lucky one - that fits." Mother and child are well. The father also survived the mission well.
