In the case of a guard comatose who gave birth to a baby in the US Hacienda Health Care facility, a man was arrested. The 36-year-old nurse is accused of rape and abuse of vulnerable adults. The police said a DNA test had put her on the track of the man.
At the end of December, the patient, who had been in a coma for 14 years after a serious accident, had given birth to a child. The investigators assume that the woman has become the victim of a sexual crime. The 36-year-old suspect was responsible for the care of the 29-year-old woman.
After the case became public, in January, the head of the private health facility in the US state of Arizona had resigned. The nursing home mainly cares for people with intellectual disabilities. The staff said it did not know the woman was pregnant. The child should be well.
