A 46-year-old police officer is said to have threatened a gas station employee in Bochum. After a major operation, he was arrested by his colleagues. The suspect has threatened the 54-year-old woman to detonate a "hydrogen bomb," the police said.
The man is therefore a police officer who is currently undergoing a career change to administrative service for health reasons. "That's why he did not have access to service weapons," it said. In addition to the disease family problems should have been a motive for the deed.
No explosives and no weapon found
The police had surrounded the gas station in the morning with numerous officials, also special forces were on site. During the morning, the police managed to contact the suspect. After intensive discussions, the employee finally left the gas station unhurt.
The suspect gave up a few minutes later and was arrested without resistance by special forces. Explosives or a firearm found the investigators not yet.
