Due to high temperatures and a lot of sun, a lake in Australia has turned into a pink water. The color comes from algae that grow in the lake in a park in Melbourne, informed the responsible authority Parks Victoria on their Facebook page.

The conditions for the phenomenon are a lot of salt in the water, a lot of heat and sun and little rain. The algae produced the red pigments as part of their photosynthesis, said a park employee of the newspaper "The Australian".

The park asks its visitors to enjoy the natural phenomenon, but not to touch the water. As soon as it gets colder and rainier, the lake is likely to lose its color again.
