A motorist who did not want to be flashed by a radar system, according to investigators caused an accident with five dead in Stolberg near Aachen. The 20-year-old was loud police shortly before Christmas at night on a highway much faster than permissible with his car on the road.

The young man was reportedly a dangling on the opposite lane to avoid the contact for the radar system in the lane. Just then a car came to him, in which a woman and her 16 and 17 year old children were sitting.

Whether the 17-year-old son was behind the wheel during the accompanying driving or the 44-year-old mother, the police could not clarify. The person behind the wheel turned left to avoid the oncoming car. At that moment, however, also the 20-year-old moved to this track. Both vehicles collided head-on, according to police.

The car of the family went up in flames, the woman and her children burned. In the vehicle of the accident causer died a 21-year-old woman, two days later a 22-year-old passenger. The driver himself and a 20-year-old rider survived badly injured.
