Ahead of the current health insurance card being abolished in December, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has put together measures to popularize the ``Myna Health Insurance Card,'' which is integrated with the Individual Number Card. If a medical institution increases its usage rate, it will provide support funds.

The government officially decided last month that the current health insurance card will be abolished on December 2nd this year, but the usage rate of the replacement ``Maina insurance card'' has increased from 6.29% in April last year to 6.29% last month. The rate has dropped to 4.29%, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has compiled measures to help spread the virus.

The plan calls on medical institutions to ask patients to check if they have a ``Mina Health Insurance Card'' when asking them to present their insurance card at the counter, and also conducts a survey to assess the status of their efforts to popularize the system.

In addition, each medical institution will be notified of the monthly usage of Myna Health Insurance Cards, and if the usage rate increases, in addition to providing support funds, the company will consider adding medical fees.

On the other hand, there are still about 870,000 cases in which the information on health insurance cards linked to My Number does not match the Basic Resident Register, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is investigating whether other people's information has been linked incorrectly. We are planning to confirm this as soon as possible.
