Regarding the murder of a 64-year-old piano teacher in a house in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, the 34-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the woman's second daughter on the day of the incident. It turned out that she had consulted the police last year, saying things like, ``I'm having a hard time because I can't get help.'' Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident, as this was the only time her second daughter consulted her.

On the 26th of this month, the suspect Masamichi Sakakibara (34), a self-styled company employee from Saijo City, was responsible for the murder of piano teacher Koyuki Tomita (64), who was decapitated at a residence in Matsumoto-cho, Imabari City. On the day of the incident, he was arrested on the 27th on suspicion of assaulting Tomita's second daughter, including pulling her arm, on the street near the scene.

According to police, he has admitted to the charges.

Regarding this incident, it was learned that her second daughter visited the local police station in November last year and consulted with the suspect, saying, ``I keep asking him to break up with me, but he doesn't respond and I'm in trouble.''

According to the police, at this time the second daughter explained that she had had her hair pulled in the past, but she said she did not seek punishment and did not want to treat it as an incident or issue a warning. The police limited the guidance to crime prevention, such as telling people to report the situation immediately if they feel in danger.

We are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident, as this was the only time the second daughter consulted us.

Regarding the response at the time, the Ehime Prefectural Police Headquarters said, ``Although we responded in accordance with the wishes of the person who consulted us, we cannot evaluate at this point whether it was appropriate. We will continue to work to clarify the incident.''
