China News Service, Shanghai, January 26 (Pufan) At 0:4 on the 26th, the first K4177 temporary passenger train in the Yangtze River Delta during the 2024 Spring Festival departed from Shanghai South Railway Station to Guiyang Station. A total of 1,377 tickets were sold for this train. Zhang, the passenger load factor reached 100%, and most of the passengers on the bus were destined for Guiyang.

  January 26 is the first day of Spring Festival travel in 2024. Passenger flow from the Yangtze River Delta region to Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing has increased significantly. In order to realize off-peak travel for passengers, temporary passenger buses for the Spring Festival Transport on the Yangtze River Delta Railway have started operating one after another. Train K4177 passed through Jiaxing, Hangzhou South, Jinhua, Quzhou, Huaihua and other stations, running a total distance of 2,022 kilometers and lasting 27 hours and 54 minutes.

  In early January this year, the average daily passenger flow from the Yangtze River Delta to Yunnan and Guizhou was around 14,000, but after the Spring Festival travel rush, it has climbed to more than 30,000, indicating strong demand for passenger flow in key directions.

  According to reports, the Yangtze River Delta Railway is expected to carry 89 million passengers during the 40 days of Spring Festival travel in 2024, with an average of 2.225 million passengers per day, an increase of 18.7% over the same period in 2019 and a record high. On the basis of the peak operation chart, the Yangtze River Delta Railway Department plans to operate an additional 369.5 pairs of passenger trains (225 pairs of through passenger trains and 144.5 pairs of intra-pipeline passenger trains), focusing on supplementing transportation capacity in many popular directions such as Northeast China, Changsha, and Nanchang. Actively respond to the large passenger flow during the Spring Festival travel period.

  It is understood that during this year’s Spring Festival, the main directions for adding temporary passenger trains in the Yangtze River Delta region include Zhengzhou, Changsha, Wuhan, Xi’an, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Guiyang, Chongqing, Nanchang, Jiujiang, etc. (over)
