The suspect, believed to be Satoshi Kirishima (70), a member of the East Asia Anti-Japanese Armed Front, wanted for his involvement in one of the serial corporate bombings that occurred in the 1970s, is admitted to a hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture. The Metropolitan Police Department is working to confirm the identity of the man through DNA testing and other methods, as well as to find out more about his lifestyle.

Among the series of corporate bombings carried out by the extremist East Asia Anti-Japan Armed Front from 1975 to the following year, in April 1975 a bomb was planted at the Korea Industrial Economic Research Institute building in Ginza, Tokyo. Member Satoshi Kirishima was wanted nationwide on suspicion of violating the Explosives Control Penalties for his involvement in the explosion.

A person admitted to a hospital in Kanagawa Prefecture calls himself Kirishima, and the Metropolitan Police Department is rushing to confirm the identity, but this person did not present identification such as a health insurance card when he was hospitalized. Interviews with investigators revealed that he received medical treatment at his own expense.

This person is suffering from stomach cancer, and while he is willing to speak with investigators, his condition is said to be serious, with him sometimes losing consciousness.

It is known that he was working at a civil engineering company in Kanagawa Prefecture before he was hospitalized, and the Metropolitan Police Department is urgently confirming this through DNA testing and investigating the details of his lifestyle.
