On the 25th, the Japan Transport Safety Board released an investigation report into the accident that occurred four years ago in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, when a helicopter carrying organs for transplant was seriously damaged while attempting to make an emergency landing.

It is believed that the aircraft rotated due to encountering a strong downdraft, and the parts that control the flight broke due to contact between the rotor blades that swayed up and down, making it difficult to control.

In February 2020, in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, a Fukushima Prefectural Police helicopter carrying a heart for transplant became difficult to maneuver and attempted to make an emergency landing, but the aircraft overturned and was severely damaged, killing the police officer on board. Seven people, including a doctor and a doctor, were seriously injured.

On the 25th, the National Transportation Safety Board released an investigation report regarding this accident.

According to the report, the aircraft was flying at high speed over a mountainous area in strong winds when it encountered a strong downdraft, causing the aircraft to tilt. When the captain tried to regain its attitude, the aircraft temporarily became inverted, causing the aircraft to tilt in a 360-degree direction. That means it has rotated more than a degree.

It is believed that the contact between the rotor blades, which were shaking violently up and down, caused a part called the ``tail drive shaft'' that controls flight to break, making it difficult to control the plane.

The Japan Transport Safety Board recommends measures to prevent a recurrence, such as slowing down before flying over mountainous areas during strong winds and avoiding altitudes where turbulence is likely to occur.
