  At about 6 o'clock on January 22, a landslide occurred in Liangshui Village, Tangfang Town, Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, causing 18 houses to be buried and 44 people missing.

  After the disaster occurred, Zhenxiong County responded quickly and established the "1·22" landslide disaster response headquarters, mobilizing more than 270 rescue equipment and vehicles such as excavators, loaders, and fire trucks, and 80 search and rescue dogs. Invested in emergency rescue, integrating 1,557 people from 28 rescue forces including emergency response, firefighting, public security, energy, militia, natural resources, and mine rescue to carry out on-site rescue.

At 20:04 on January 25, after 85 hours of continuous day and night efforts by the rescue team, the last missing person was rescued, and all 44 missing people were found. All of them had no vital signs and were all killed.

  Yang Xuchun said that after fully respecting the wishes of the victims' families and after consultation and communication, proper arrangements were made for the transportation, storage, dressing, cremation, urns and other funeral services of the victims' remains, and the costs were fully borne by the county government.
