"Düsseldorf, Scania" is about Fredrik and Nina who live in a small Scanian village and are passionate about synth music.

- It's a fantastic love story between the two - and they find each other through their common strong love for the synth, says Rebecca Plymholt, who plays Nina.

Probably the world's first

The film has received a lot of attention as it is the first feature film that takes place in an environment among synth players in the 80s.

Director Patrik Blomberg Book believes that it is probably also the world's first synth film.

- It is also a film that wants to celebrate the power of creativity and creation.

What it can mean for a person when you go through something - in this case it's the turbulent teenage years, says Patrik Blomberg Book.

"Düsseldorf, Skåne" has its Swedish premiere on February 9.
