According to the Metropolitan Police Department, in October last year, a female junior high school student he met on social media promised to let her stay at his home, asked her to meet him for obscene purposes, and then met her at Kamata Station in Ota Ward, where he allegedly demanded a meeting. is leaning.



At the time, the suspect was living in Tokyo to take part in an internship at a company, and was said to have brought junior high school girls to his home or hotel.



The incident was discovered the next day when a junior high school girl contacted the Metropolitan Police Department, and during an interview she said, ``I wanted to run away from home because I felt like I didn't have a place at home.I thought I would feel scared if I stayed any longer.'' On the other hand, Sugihara denied the charges, saying, ``It was not for the purpose of obscene acts, but to listen to the story of a girl who was in trouble.''



The crime of requesting visitation was newly established in the revised Penal Code that came into effect in July last year, making it punishable for the act of requesting visitation from a child under the age of 16 for obscene purposes, such as by promising money. .



According to the Metropolitan Police Department, this is the first time in the country that a suspect has been arrested for actually meeting a child.
