"We have integrated the concept of Zhuangxiang's 'dustpan dish' into Vietnamese cuisine, placing Vietnamese spring rolls and other snacks in dustpans, allowing diners to eat all over Vietnam in one bite."

Caterer Wu Jinfang said in a recent interview with reporters.

Wu Jinfang, from Hanoi, Vietnam, runs a Vietnamese gourmet restaurant in Nanning, Guangxi.

The neatly arranged plastic stools in the store, the Vietnamese billboards, and the decorative bamboo hats hanging on the shelves next to the tables make people feel like they are on the streets of Vietnam.

Restoring the decoration style of Vietnamese street markets is Wu Jinfang's exclusive "market memory".

In 1998, Wu Jinfang and her mother ran a small street stall in Dongxing City on the China-Vietnam border. They pushed a cart every day and sold Southeast Asian fruits, Vietnamese juices and Vietnamese snacks.

During her cooking studies, in addition to learning cooking skills from Vietnamese chefs, she also often studied in the kitchen by herself, accompanied by "smoke", just to make authentic Vietnamese food.

The picture was taken in 2000. Wu Jinfang took a photo with the small stall at that time.

After nearly ten years of accumulation, what was once a small Vietnamese food stall has transformed into a large restaurant. Wu Jinfang has also transformed from a shy girl to a "Dongxing daughter-in-law", taking root in China with her food.

Wu Jinfang said frankly that she became connected with China because of food, and it was she who "pushed" her food dream with a small trolley.

With the frequent cultural exchanges between Guangxi and ASEAN countries, Wu Jinfang opened the store in Nanning.

In terms of food innovation, Wu Jinfang devoted herself to research. She combined glutinous rice with the Southeast Asian fruit "jackfruit" and launched "jackfruit glutinous rice". Its refreshing and dense taste is loved by many diners.

Wu Jinfang said that in order to ensure the taste of Vietnamese food, she often travels between Nanning and Dongxing, driving hundreds of kilometers to purchase Vietnamese ingredients and condiments.

Thanks to the opening of the Fangcheng Port to Dongxing railway, Wu Jinfang lamented the rapid development of China when recalling the days when he took a ferry from Mong Cai, Vietnam to trade with Dongxing.

Wu Jinfang said, "I sent my baby to school in Nanning in the morning and picked up the goods from Dongxing in the afternoon. I didn't have to delay picking up my baby from school. The high-speed rail is so convenient."

As the Spring Festival approaches, Wu Jinfang is preparing for New Year's Eve dinners in various stores. She has added Vietnamese "Sifang Rice Dumplings" and "Hot and Sour Soup Hot Pot" to the New Year menu, bringing Vietnamese New Year delicacies to the Chinese dining table to share the taste of the New Year with diners.

Every Chinese New Year, at the request of Vietnamese relatives, she would bring snail noodles, Chinese liquor and other new year products.

Wu Jinfang said that due to the influence of online advertising, Vietnamese people began to be interested in spicy food, and Internet celebrity delicacies such as snail noodles are popular in Vietnam.
