In an effort to support third-year junior high school students as they prepare to take their high school entrance exams, a butcher shop in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, presented a large chicken cutlet with the wish of winning the entrance exam to a local junior high school, where the students enjoyed it during their school lunches.

The person who presented the chicken cutlets was Manabu Takizawa, who runs a butcher shop in Shirakawa City, and visited the local Daishin Junior High School on the 22nd.

Every year around this time, Mr. Takizawa tries to support third-year junior high school students who are about to take their high school entrance exams by offering the ``katsu'' that he sells at his store as an ingredient for school lunches, with the hope that they will ``succeed'' in their entrance exams. Shiha gave away 130 servings of chicken cutlet, which had been requested by many students, to a total of 130 students, including first and second year students, as well as faculty and staff.

During school lunch, the students enjoyed chicken cutlets that were about the size of an adult's palm.

In addition to the menu on the 22nd, there was also a side dish of salad made with lotus root with the wish that ``you can see your path through the hole in the lotus root.''

A third-year female student said, ``I felt that the people in the community were supporting me. I will do my best until I take the entrance exam.''

Mr. Takizawa said, ``It's rewarding to see the children eating deliciously.I want them to work towards their goals.''
