Three fashion giants will become TV series this year

On January 19, "Cristóbal Balenciaga" premieres on Disney+.

The series is about the fashion designer's 30 years in Paris and depicts, among other things, the Paris fashion scene during the late 1930s and the Second World War.

Coco Chanel, Hubert de Givenchy and Christian Dior all appear in the series.

Just under a month later, "The new look" comes on Apple tv+, which is about the same period and the same people, but with Dior in focus.

Disney+ has also previously announced that a French-language TV series about Karl Lagerfeld, with German Daniel Brühl in the lead role, is in the works - and Apple tv+ will release the French "La maison" later this year about a fashion house that ends up in a social media scandal.

The great fashion designers have also previously fascinated the film and television industry.

In 2021 came the film "House of Gucci" and in 2017 came "The Assassination of Gianni Versace".

If you go back a few more years (2009) you will find "Coco - life before Chanel" with Audrey Tautou in the lead role.
