Written by Zhu Hongxuan and Ye Ziling, and directed by Zhu Hongxuan, the nine-person drama series is not only independent of each other, but also a footnote to each other. "The Tale of the Double Table" answers Lu Bo'an's question about ten years later in "Four Machines", and Mr. Lang's unbearable talk about the past in the night rain in Jiangning was written by "Before the Court", the finale of the nine-person series. How did the wife and daughter who Lang Shibiao couldn't bear to mention in "The Tale of the Two Tables" and the old man who Lu Bo'an was worried about move from the beginning to the end of the story? Did the candidates who had high hopes in "Four Machines" live up to the hopes of "young men with good integrity"? What was the future of Deng Yiqiu, who wrote a letter with a sharp pen, and how did Ma Shuixian twilight, Gu Hezhen's old age, and Cheng Wuyou's verdict...... The fate of many characters in the previous work ended here. The performance of "The Tale of the Two Tables" has been completed at the 1 Theatre from 12 to 14 January, while "Before the Court" will be performed at the same theatre from 1 to 19 January. After the end of this performance, the two dramas will be sealed at Beijing Station.
Many viewers said that although they had seen these works before, this time they were able to watch the nine-person series with the inner logic of the story and characters, which brought a stronger shock and a deeper understanding of the connotation of the works.

The upcoming "Before the Court" is the fifth work in the series of dramas of the Nine People's Republic of China intellectuals, with lawyer couple Lang Shiyang and You Shengnan as the protagonists, writing the love, protection, confrontation and disintegration of a couple of lovers. With more than 60 characters and more than a dozen cases, it has become a rare double-protagonist legal drama on the drama stage.
During the performance season, in addition to the five consecutive performances, the nine-member troupe also prepared many surprises for the friends who came to watch the play. During the performances in the 365 Theater, the National Theatre and the Erqi Theater of the Beijing Tiantongyuan Culture and Art Center, the 2023 Theater, the National Theatre Theater and the Erqi Theater have prepared exquisite house programmes, repertoire medals and derivative peripherals as always, and set up a "nine-person mailbox" in the front hall of the theater to welcome the audience to leave a book and submit notes, while the "Photography and Photo Exhibition" area includes the classic stills of the five-part series of the nine-person series, the behind-the-scenes glimpse of the nine-person series in <>, and the curtain call photography submitted by the audience, which looks back on the annual stage journey of the nine drama artists in a freeze-frame.
