The Golden Globe Awards, which are considered to be the precursors to the Academy Awards in the United States, were announced, and Hayao Miyazaki's "How You Live" was selected as the anime film award.

"How You Live" is an original story of a boy who loses his mother during the Pacific War and gets lost in a mysterious world.

What is "How Do You Live?"

"How You Live" is Studio Ghibli's first feature film in 10 years.
The title is said to be taken from the work of children's author Genzaburo Yoshino, which Miyazaki read and was impressed by when he was a child, but the story is completely different.

Set in Japan, where the Pacific War began, Miyazaki's original story about a young boy who loses his mother in a fire and evacuates with his father is led by a heron man who goes back and forth between blue herons and human forms and gets lost in a mysterious world.

Miyazaki is an 2023-year-old native of Tokyo.

Known worldwide as a master of anime artists, he has released numerous hit films such as "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," "My Neighbor Totoro," and "Princess Mononoke," and in 7 "Spirited Away" won the Academy Award for Best anime Feature Film.

Miyazaki announced his retirement from feature anime after the release of The Wind Rises in 83, but later withdrew his retirement and took about seven years to create this film, working on the original story and screenplay.
