Crashed small plane

In the North Rhine-Westphalian municipality of Hünxe, a small plane crashed. One person was killed. A second occupant was seriously injured, the Bottrop fire department said.
According to the fire department, the rescue forces found the small plane, which had broken into several pieces, on Friday evening in a wooded area near the Schwarze Heide airfield. One occupant died at the scene of the accident despite resuscitation measures. The seriously injured person was taken to a hospital.
The investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing, according to a police spokesman.
