New decoration in Deauville! The seaside town of Normandy hosts its photo festival called "Planches Contact". Huge prints are on display from the beach to the town hall and it is to be discovered until January 7, 2024.

Forget the American actors, the real stars of the Deauville stage, this autumn, it's the dogs. Dogs who posed for their owners. And these photographs are on display until January 7, 2024 on the promenade by Laura Serani, the director of the "Planches Contact" festival.

"Two worlds, two cultures and two continents"

"Les Planches de Deauville is a privileged place for walks with the dog. And why not also call out to our friends, our best friends, by dedicating this exhibition to these animals," she explains proudly.

These amateur photographer shots face the print of Robert Doisneau and his work on the golf courses of Palm Springs. Visitors will enjoy an "American dream" atmosphere and pastel colors. But also the work of Malick Sidibé, a Malian photographer who immortalized the Bamako festivities with his magnified black and white photographs.

"We create a dialogue between two worlds, two cultures and two continents," explains Laura Serani. Giant prints are planted in the sand. From the beach to the port to the town hall, it is possible to admire all the photos of the festival. But a little advice for the more adventurous: don't forget the boots, because sometimes the tide rises.
