Another man in his 47s also suffered cuts.

The explosion occurred at the Shin-Nanyo Plant of Tosoh SGM, an affiliate of Tosoh Corporation, and according to the company, the explosion was believed to be flammable methane or hydrogen, and there was no damage to the surrounding buildings.

At that time, the site was working to remove flammable gas to operate the prototype equipment for producing quartz glass, and according to the police, there was no fire or gas leak, and there is no risk of further damage.
