A few hours before the launch of the Rugby World Cup tonight on TF1, commentators confided in the microphone of Europe 1 about their preparation. Everyone assures it: commentating a match is very sporty! So, some impose a very strict lifestyle...

Europe 1 is preparing to bring the Rugby World Cup to life with a special broadcast tonight. On the TV side, TF1 will take care of the biggest posters, starting with France/All Blacks this Friday night. Here is the program of the day on the first channel: at 19:15 pm, Anne-Claire Coudray, whom Culture Médias received on Tuesday, will present the live news from the Stade de France. At 20 p.m. the opening ceremony will take place. Then, the first match of the competition will take place at 21:05. The host country, France, will face the terrible New Zealanders. It promises!

"You have to be in great shape"

François Trillo, who will be commentating with Benjamin Kayser and Christian Califano, is already thorough. "I feel completely excited, excited and excited about this team of France for 4 years. We are thoroughly, ready to support them and then ready to share our passion from 19pm tonight," he told Europe 1. The Rugby World Cup will last nearly two months. Commentating on a match can be long. You have to be focused, energetic... And, you have to be in great shape, as François Trillo explains in Culture Médias.

"Because of the knee problems I have, I don't jog too much anymore, I ride a bike. You still have to have a healthy lifestyle, you don't party before playing matches and even after. We have a good time but with sparkling water to have the maximum energy to be able to transmit it. Because it takes a lot of energy to comment on a match so you have to be physically ready." Sparkling water and cycling... So that's the key! Rugby is also on Europe 1, radio partner of the event. See you from 20pm on our antenna with our consultant Serge Blanco.
