At 19:00 on the 7th, Lu Jingjun was driving a public security boat to conduct daily patrols on the Huangpu River.

When he was driving to the opposite side of the Magnolia Wharf, near the Oriental Pearl Tower, and looking from Pudong to Puxi, Lu Jingjun noticed that a yacht docked at the Magnolia Wharf was a bit strange: "At that time, I saw a yacht emitting white smoke. It seems to be on fire."

Lu Jingjun immediately contacted the command center. At the same time, the command center also contacted Lu Jingjun through the radio and asked him to go to the Magnolia Wharf to rescue the trapped people on the fired yacht.

After receiving the order, Lu Jingjun drove towards the Bai Yulan Wharf and arrived at the scene in just one and a half minutes.

"When I got closer, I found that the fire was already serious and it started to emit black smoke."

Lu Jingjun recalled that the people on the yacht were waiting anxiously for rescue at the stern wearing life jackets.

After the public security patrol boat approached the burning yacht, a 50-year-old man on the yacht threw the cable to Lu Jingjun. Lu Jingjun quickly fixed the two ships with the cable and launched emergency rescue.

But even if it is fixed, the waves are still very big, the height of the public security patrol boat is low, and the drop between it and the yacht is about 1.8 meters.

Lu Jingjun first transferred an 8-year-old girl from the yacht to the public security boat.

After that, Lu Jingjun took the women, the elderly and the men on the boat one by one to the public security boat.

There was also a thrilling scene during the rescue. A 50-year-old man fell into the water during the transfer process. Fortunately, he was wearing a life jacket. Lu Jingjun also threw the lifebuoy into the water and guided the overboard to the stern of the police patrol boat. Then take it ashore.

Lu Jingjun recalled that it only took less than 10 minutes to rescue the 11 trapped people. The whole process was only the idea of "hurry up and save people", and he could not care about fear and worry at all.

Considering that the fire may bring other risks, after transferring everyone to the public security boat, Lu Jingjun quickly made the decision to leave the fired yacht. At the same time, because many of the trapped people inhaled heavy smoke, he hurriedly contacted the 120 first aid. When they arrived at the public security pier on Jinling East Road, first responders were already waiting at the scene.

"The whole process is too thrilling!" Recalling the entire emergency rescue process, Lu Jingjun was very emotional. Due to the high tension all the time, he even showed symptoms of stomach cramps, but he was able to rescue 11 trapped people safely. Feeling relieved.
