In response to a request to shorten business hours, Kobe City announced that it will provide new support to restaurants in the city that have been hit by subsidizing half of the monthly rent.

With the extension of the state of emergency based on the Act on Special Measures for New Coronavirus, we will continue to request restaurants to shorten their business hours, but especially in large stores, one day will be paid as a cooperation fee. Many people are saying that 60,000 yen is not enough.

Under these circumstances, Kobe City has decided to subsidize half of the monthly rent for each store up to 500,000 yen for restaurants in the city affected by the request for shorter working hours.

The target is businesses whose sales have decreased by 50% or more compared to the previous year, even if the cooperation funds are combined.

At a press conference, Mayor Hisamoto of Kobe City said, "The harsh situation will continue due to the extension of the state of emergency. I would like businesses to make good use of the rent burden system and manage to survive this situation." Said.
