[Explanation] Entering December, Guangxi Pingxiang Port has entered the peak period of cross-border tropical fruit imports. Merchants from all over China gathered here to purchase watermelon, dragon fruit, longan, jackfruit and other tropical fruits produced in Southeast Asia, and put these fruits Delivered to Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai and other places.

[Explanation] In the Pingxiang Logistics Park of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone, large trucks enter and leave the park, and there is a constant flow. Fruit dealers pack, box, transport and load mangoes from Vietnam and durians from Thailand.

Xu Jianjun, a fruit merchant from Northeast China, told reporters that the sales of ASEAN tropical fruits in the north are very good. He bought a cart of jackfruit this time.

I came from the northeast. I heard that there are many tropical imported fruits in Pingxiang, because the sales of tropical imported fruits in our north are relatively large. Let me see how the quality is. If the quality is good, I may order here for a long time.

[Explanation] In December each year, tropical fruits in Southeast Asia begin to enter the harvest season. At this time, China is in winter and cannot produce sufficient tropical fruits.

In order to meet the needs of the Chinese people, fruit merchants need to import a large amount of fresh fruits from ASEAN countries to supplement the fresh fruit market demand, and tropical fruits with good quality and taste such as Vietnamese watermelon, mango, jackfruit, etc. have become the first choice for purchasers.

Our company imports 40 to 50 tons of jackfruit from Vietnam to China every day. The taste of jackfruit is very sweet, the price is very close to the people, and it is very popular with consumers. We use online celebrity live broadcasts and platforms to directly promote them to the whole country.

[Explanation] As a national first-class international port connecting China Railway and Vietnam Railway, Guangxi Pingxiang Port has the largest import and export volume in China for 7 consecutive years. It is China’s largest land fruit import and export port and is known as "China-ASEAN Fruit "Capital".

At present, fruits imported through Pingxiang Port account for nearly half of China's total imported fruits, and imported tropical fruits from Southeast Asia account for nearly three-quarters of China's imports of tropical fruits from Southeast Asia.
