In response, Ziyang People’s Hospital issued a statement that the inpatient Wu Mou 1 was admitted to the hospital due to illness on December 2, 2020. The patient and his accompanying family members (sons) completed nucleic acid tests during hospitalization and the results were negative.
On December 5th, the patient's daughter Wu 2 (i.e. the aunt through the Internet) returned to Ziyang People's Hospital from Pidu District, Chengdu to visit the patient.
On December 6, four other relatives from Chengdu visited the patients from the Pidu District of Chengdu to Ziyang People's Hospital. Five people returned to Chengdu after visiting the patients on the same day.
It is understood that during the patient's hospitalization in Ziyang City People's Hospital, all family members and visitors wore masks. Five people from Chengdu had no direct contact with the confirmed patient in Pidu District, nor relatives. Five people were in Pidu on December 7.
