A series about the emergence of one of the most iconic figures in history, the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, will be filmed in the United States.

According to Deadline, the project will be produced by Timberman-Beverly Productions ("Justice", "Impossible to Believe") in collaboration with cinematographer Tod Williams ("Paranormal Activity 2", "Door in the Floor").

The leading actors and other members of the crew are currently unknown.

The series will premiere online.

As journalists note, in the series, the formation of Napoleon as Emperor of France will become the story of not one person, but his entire family.

More precisely, the mother and her eight children.

Living in obscurity, Bonaparte eventually became the most powerful dynasty in the world.

This is what will be discussed in the project.

“The series will present Napoleon as a son, brother and husband, as well as a member of a family where passions raged, and all representatives of which were equally amazing personalities, a family ruled by a powerful woman who, through her children, reached her ultimate goal, which she was obsessed with - unlimited power, ”underlines Deadline.

In October, director Ridley Scott spoke about plans to film the story of the emperor's life.

He is preparing the full-length biopic Kitbag in collaboration with 20th Century Studios.

The filmmaker intends to show the famous battles of Napoleon, as well as to reveal the character of the hero through his ambition and amazing strategic thinking.

As Deadline notes, the film will provide an original personal look at Napoleon's origins and his meteoric rise to the throne.

A significant part of the story will be devoted to Bonaparte's relationship with his wife Josephine.

David Scarpa is working on the script.

He has already worked with the director on the project “All the money in the world”.

The tape is produced by Kevin Walsh and Scott himself.

The main role went to the Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix ("Joker", "Gladiator").
