The whole body is painted with acrylic paint to "melt into" the natural landscape, using the angle of light to create a visual illusion

500,000 fans of the "invisibility" in the scenic spot half a year

Jinan guy Wang Liang, originally a wall painter, turned his "canvas" into himself in April this year and began to engage in outdoor "invisible" creation.

From the partial "levitation technique" to the outdoor human body "invisible", Wang Liang's performance has been recognized by the majority of netizens because of its strong impact and unique visual effects.

In the past six months, its video account on a certain platform has more than 500,000 fans.

"I have been learning painting since I was 14 years old. From middle school to high school to university, my father has always supported me in particular." Wang Liang, a 31-year-old Jinan guy, said in an interview with a reporter from Beijing Youth Daily. After graduating from university, he started Engaged in wall painting work.

"Affected by the epidemic, my workload dropped sharply this year. Then I wanted to try playing short videos." Wang Liang told his partner Mingsheng the idea, and the two hit it off.

Immediately, Wang Liang released his first body painting work on the short video platform.

In the video, he stood in front of a black background cloth and smeared paint on his neck to create a visual illusion of local "levitation".

Wang Liang said that it takes at least three hours to complete a painted work on his body.

"Someone privately said that this is a computer special effect." In order to prove that their "invisible" painting is not a computer special effect, Wang Liang and Ming Sheng decided to directly record the whole process of "invisible" in the body.

Therefore, the two exhibited their respective strengths. Wang Liang wore a white bottom shirt as a model. When creating, the partner Ming Sheng first drafted Wang Liang's skin and clothes, then laid colors and painted details.

"It's just like painting on the wall, and the painting tools used are the same," Ming Sheng said.

At first, Wang Liang, who was worried about being criticized, chose to create a scene with Ming Sheng to match his paintings, but the depth and realism of the man-made landscape were not good.

“The landscaping can only be used once, and each video has to be re-set.” Wang Liang said, considering the cost, they finally chose to use the outdoor natural landscape to complete the “invisible” painting.

"The scenes we chose are mainly scenic natural landscapes and landmarks in the city." Wang Liang said that it is not easy to shoot a video and perform a performance. Wang Liang and his partner are very careful in choosing locations. Every time, you have to go to the "stepping point" one or two days in advance, and sometimes you need to make relevant declarations.

After the related video was released on the Internet, many netizens expressed interest in it, and more and more people liked their videos.

Currently, Wang Liang's self-media platform has more than 500,000 fans.

At the beginning of April this year, Wang Liang released the first outdoor body painting video work. He painted his whole body with acrylic paint and matched the natural landscape behind him to achieve an "invisible" visual effect.

The video quickly got a lot of attention and praise from netizens.

"In summer, I usually wear a white short sleeve and shorts to show you how we painted." Wang Liang said, in order to let the audience see a more realistic creation process, Wang Liang insisted on recording paint on himself Every detail-from the skin on the forehead to the legs of the trousers, is often covered all over the body.

Acrylic paint itself has a certain degree of stickiness and is easier to dry on the skin. After each performance, it becomes as hard as a "tear mask".

"The clothes can't be washed clean, and my face is acne-prone because of the residual pigment." When it comes to problems like this, Wang Liang said these are inevitable.

After each performance event, he and Ming Sheng couldn't wash their clothes on the spot. They always walked on the street wearing colorfully colored clothes, and the rate of turning back was particularly high.

To prove that he was not extravagant, Wang Liang insisted on reusing performance clothes.

At the beginning, I could only draw three or four times on a piece of clothing. After I was familiar with the road, I could draw a piece of clothing at least seven or eight times.

The process of painting on the body is also part of the performance. After painting, I blend myself with the landscape behind me.

However, the natural landscape is always changing. It is not easy to accurately match the painting on the body with the scenery behind it. Mingsheng must make full use of the light and angle at the time to take "invisible" pictures and videos. .

"My daughter especially supports me. When people ask, she says,'My father is an invisible person.'" Speaking of the family's reaction, Wang Liang revealed that the family is now also helping with suggestions. "Father will even stand in the audience's perspective with me. Discuss what needs to be improved in the video, and help think of ideas and innovation together."

Wang Liang said that he hopes that this novel form of performance can bring some artistic inspiration to the domestic audience.
