Eight new patients hospitalized for Covid-19, from Saint-Etienne and Lyon (Rhône), were transferred this Monday to New Aquitaine.

In particular, a medical plane landed shortly before 1 p.m. with two patients from Saint-Etienne, on the tarmac of Mérignac airport, to transport them to the Haut-Lévêque hospital of the Bordeaux University Hospital.

Two other patients were transferred to the Jean-Villar clinic in Bruges in the suburbs of Bordeaux.

"We also have two which left for the CHU of Poitiers (Vienne), and two towards the hospital center of Angoulême (Charente)" indicates the ARS of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

These transfers follow those already operated on last Friday, during which eight patients from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes had been distributed to different hospitals in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

However, there should be much less transfer of patients to New Aquitaine during this second epidemic wave, than during the first, the ARS stressed this Monday morning.
