According to the website of the Central Meteorological Observatory, the center of this year’s No. 17 typhoon "Shader" is located on the middle of the South China Sea about 170 kilometers northeast of Yongxing Island in Xisha, Hainan at 5 o'clock this morning. Moving westward at a speed of about 15 kilometers per hour, it will pass through the southern part of Hainan Island from today night to early tomorrow morning.

From 8 o'clock on October 24th to 8 o'clock on the 27th, the average temperature in parts of northern Xinjiang, most of Inner Mongolia, most of North China, Northeast China and other places will drop by 4 to 6 ℃ due to the influence of moderate cold air.

Typhoon "Shader" affects the South China Sea

  The center of this year’s No. 17 typhoon "Shader" is today (24th) at 5 o'clock in the morning in the middle of the South China Sea, about 170 kilometers northeast of Yongxing Island, Xisha, Hainan. It is 18.0 degrees north latitude and 113.4 degrees east longitude, with the highest wind force near the center. There are 12 levels (33m/s), the lowest central pressure is 975 hPa, the radius of the seventh wind circle is 250-350 kilometers, the radius of the tenth wind circle is 80 kilometers, and the radius of the twelfth wind circle is 30 kilometers.

It is predicted that "Shadr" will move westward at a speed of about 15 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually weaken. After passing through the southern part of Hainan Island this night to tomorrow morning, it will move towards the north-central coast of Vietnam.

  Affected by the "Shader" and cold air, from 08:00 on the 24th to 08:00 on the 25th, the Taiwan Strait, the Bashi Strait, the northern and central parts of the South China Sea, the Paracel Islands and the coasts of Fujian, the western and southern coasts of Taiwan, and the eastern and southern coasts of Hainan There will be strong winds of magnitude 7-8, among which some sea areas in the northern and central parts of the South China Sea and the southeastern coast of Hainan Island will have winds of magnitude 9-10, and the nearby sea where the "Shader" center passes can reach magnitude 11-12 and gusts of 13-14 level.

The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue yellow typhoon warnings at 06:00 on October 24.

  Affected by the typhoon "Shader", from 08:00 on the 24th to 08:00 on the 25th, there were moderate to heavy rains in most parts of Hainan Island and other places. Among them, there were heavy rains in eastern and southern parts of Hainan, and local heavy rains (100-130) Mm).

Medium intensity cold air affects northern regions

  It is expected that from 08:00 on October 24th to 08:00 on October 27th, affected by moderate-intensity cold air, the average temperature in parts of northern Xinjiang, most of Inner Mongolia, most of North China, and Northeast China will drop by 4 to 6°C.

Among them, there will be rain and snow cooling in northern Xinjiang on the 24th, high-altitude mountainous areas will have light to moderate snow, local heavy snow, and the temperature will drop by 6 to 8 ℃, accompanied by 5 to 7 winds, and the wind in the mountain pass area can reach 8 ~ Level 9.

  In addition, there will be more rainy weather in the southwest in the next three days.

Among them, there was moderate to heavy rain on the 24th in northwestern Yunnan.

Specific forecast for the next three days

  From 08:00 on October 24 to 08:00 on the 25th, there was light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of high altitude areas in northern Xinjiang, eastern Qinghai, northeastern Tibet, and eastern Heilongjiang.

There were moderate to heavy rains in parts of southeastern Tibet, northwestern Yunnan, most of Hainan Island and other places. Among them, there were heavy rains in eastern and southern parts of Hainan, and local heavy rains (100-130 mm).

There are winds of force 4 to 6 in parts of northern Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, and coastal areas of South China. Among them, wind force of force 7 to 9 is in the mountain pass area of ​​northern Xinjiang.

  From 08:00 on October 25th to 08:00 on the 26th, there was light snow or sleet in parts of the mountainous areas in western Xinjiang, eastern Qinghai, and central and southern Gansu.

There was light to moderate rain in parts of southeastern Tibet, the east and south of southwestern China, southwestern China, and most of Taiwan Island. Among them, there was heavy rain (25-40 mm) in the central and eastern parts of Hainan Island.

There are 4-6 winds in parts of western and central Inner Mongolia, northeastern northwestern China, eastern Heilongjiang, central Tibet, and southeastern Guangxi coastal areas (see Figure 2).

  From 08:00 on October 26th to 08:00 on the 27th, there were light to moderate snow or sleet in some areas in northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwest Heilongjiang, southern Xinjiang basin, northwest Tibet, and central and eastern parts of northwestern China.

There was light to moderate rain in parts of eastern Northeast China, southeastern Tibet, most of southwestern China, western South China, Hainan Island, Taiwan Island and other places. Among them, there was heavy rain (25-35 mm) in the central part of Hainan Island.

There are 4 to 6 winds in parts of northern Xinjiang, central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northern China, Liaodong Peninsula, central Tibet, and southeast coastal areas of Guangxi (see Figure 3).
