[Poverty Alleviation Story] Qiang Village with distinctive architectural features in Taoping, Sichuan attracts tourists

Taoping Qiang Village in Li County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, located on the banks of Zagunao River in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River, ushered in this year's peak tourist season.

Taoping Qiang Village was built in 111 BC. It has a history of more than two thousand years. It is a typical representative of the Qiang architectural complex and completely preserves the ancient ethnic characteristics of the Qiang nationality.

Backed by the mountains and facing the water, it sits north and faces south, and its layout is rigorous and neat. It is known as the "Mysterious Oriental Castle".

All the buildings in Taoping Qiang Village are made of stone blocks. From a distance, a piece of yellowish-brown stone houses are gradually tiring up along the steep hills and slopes. They may be scattered high or low, and there are many bunkers in the middle. Unique style.

The Qiang people’s construction craftsmanship is exquisite and unique in conception. In order to defend against enemy aggression, all houses are connected to each other. Entering the lane is like entering the ecstasy array. The ancient Qiang ancestors used mountain springs and built ditches to flow under the houses in the village. Drinking and firefighting water are very convenient. The sound of underground water can be heard in Renxingzhai.
