The bear escaped into the scaffolding at the construction site, but was subsequently exterminated.

Around 8:30 am on the 23rd, a JR employee in his 50s was attacked by a bear that suddenly appeared near the "Tsuruga Vehicle Management Office" at JR Tsuruga Station, and his neck and shoulders were scratched.



Approximately 10 minutes later, at the construction site of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which is several tens of meters east, a male worker in his 40s at a partner company was attacked by a bear lurking behind the materials and his legs were damaged. I was bitten.



The two were taken to the hospital, of which the male worker at the construction site was seriously injured, including a broken left leg.



The bear then fled into the scaffolding at the viaduct construction site, police restricted access and continued vigilance, and the Hunting Club removed it around 11:00 am.



The bear is about 1 meter and 50 centimeters in length, and according to the city, witness information was gathered around Tsuruga Station from the night of the 22nd, calling attention.



In Fukui prefecture, nine people have already been injured by being attacked by bears this year.
