On September 29, the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival approached, Fuzhou's unique Mid-Autumn Festival custom-"Pagoda Swing" also attracted many Fuzhou citizens and tourists to come to experience.

In the old days, the tower was placed, tiles were picked up, and the tower was built. The higher the tower, the better, which implies the meaning of stepping up.

Pagoda placing is an important Mid-Autumn Festival folklore activity in Fuzhou, and this folklore has existed since the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty.

According to legend, Qi Jiguang went to Fujian to pacify the Japanese and won a great victory. When he returned to Fuzhou, it coincided with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The people of Fuzhou welcomed the triumphant teacher and placed valuables at the door to celebrate.

Because there are many temples and towers in old Fuzhou, most of the decorations are models of ancient towers, so it is called "Pagoda".
