5.00 The government's proposal for restrictions leads almost all of Madrid to limit mobility
Almost the entire Community of Madrid -the capital and nine of its large localities- faces mobility restrictions if the Government's proposal to apply the same limitations in all Spanish municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants that has a high incidence of coronavirus.
This proposal, which will be studied today with the autonomous communities, has been formulated after reaching an agreement in principle with the Madrid Government during the meeting of the COVID-19 Group held this Tuesday afternoon, after days of disagreements about the measures to be applied to try to contain the advance of the pandemic in the region.
These restrictive measures would be applied immediately to municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants with a cumulative incidence of more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in a period of fifteen days, a positivity greater than 10 percent in PCR and with an index occupancy of over 35 percent in ICUs at the regional level.
