  At around 1:40 pm on September 22, 2020, a teacher from Qianjie Elementary School in Changzhou Bureau demonstrated the scientific experiment "Hot Air Balloon Rise" in the science class "Hot Air and Cold Air". When adding alcohol to the evaporation dish, Due to the irregular operation, the volatilized alcohol and the air formed a mixed gas. When the evaporating dish was not completely cooled, it flashed, and the fire that burst out caused burns to 4 students.

There was no explosion at the scene.

  School leaders and teachers quickly sent 4 students to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment, and contacted their parents in time.

On the same day, 4 students were admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with partial second-degree burns.

The city and district leaders attach great importance to it and organize expert consultations to study diagnosis and treatment plans.
