Wang Guanghua and other switchmen have been engaged in the conversion and maintenance of 18 sets of turnouts on 9 special lines in the station all year round. Every day, nearly 500 trucks and more than 10 shunting machines pass on the turnouts they are responsible for.

This is such a set of actions, Wang Guanghua has repeated more than 30,000 times during his ten years of working on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Because we work on the plateau, the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, and it also has some effects on the equipment. The rain and snow slaps on his face and he can hardly open his eyes. Make sure that the rails are seamlessly connected every time you switch.

[Explanation] Nowadays, most of the railway switches on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway have gradually changed from manual switches to remote-controlled electric switch machines. Wang Guanghua has also become the last group of switchers on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.
At present, the Ganhe Industrial Station where Wang Guanghua is located is also about to undergo automation transformation. Switching the track will become history, and the "track changing division" will no longer exist.
