[Explanation] On September 24, the "Twelfth Training Course on Restoration Techniques for Ethnic Minority Ancient Books" sponsored by the National Ancient Books Protection Center was being studied at the Yunnan Provincial Library.

More than 50 trainees from ancient book collection units in Yunnan, Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai and other places participated this time.

[Explanation] In recent years, the scope of the census of ancient books has continued to expand, and ancient books of ethnic minorities have been better protected and used.

However, lack of preservation conditions, lack of restoration and management talents are problems that need to be solved urgently in the protection of ancient books.

There are many ancient books scattered among the people, and it is difficult to collect them.

The second one is the preservation problem. For preservation, because many places require constant temperature and humidity, such as libraries in some prefectures that cannot meet this standard, the preservation time will be shorter.

The third is that there are not enough repair personnel. Although we often train, there are still a small number of repairs in the prefectures, that is, they are not spread to all places.

[Explanation] Yang Luyuan comes from an ancient book restoration family, and his father Yang Liqun has been engaged in ancient book restoration for nearly 50 years.

Yang Liqun feels that it is a responsibility and an honor to "rejuvenate" the cultural memory of the Chinese nation through his own craftsmanship.

For us, the restoration of Yunnan Province, regardless of the era, whether it is ethnic minority or Chinese, you have to repair a damaged book. After the restoration is completed, you can see that your restored book can continue to flourish, and use it as I am most gratified by the better preservation of the literature.

[Explanation] It is understood that this training course lasts for two weeks.

In addition to the relevant theoretical content, the teaching model of "Training by stem" is mainly adopted, and the restoration of heavily and moderately damaged Tibetan ancient books is the teaching content, and training is carried out through demonstrations and practical operations.

We have also come into contact with many Tibetan documents in different fonts and papers. Most of the documents we have compiled so far are documents on Tibetan Buddhist classics. This document will provide evidence for many local histories, which is useful for academic research. It is a very special and valuable research material.

[Explanation] In the training class, the trainees used "artificial pulp" and other methods to fill in the missing pages, so that they could be better protected and retained.

According to He Aniu, a student from Southwest University for Nationalities, the school has more than 26,000 ancient books and documents.

Participating in this training has benefited me a lot, allowing me to better manage and restore the "cultural treasure" of the Chinese nation after returning to school.

As a minority, as one of the 56 flowers of 56 ethnic groups, we have to make good use of our common language, but also to discover some unknown cultures and unknowns in our ethnic minorities. Some things in the past, it is to make up for the little star in our entire five thousand years of Chinese culture. Our Chinese culture is one, and then our culture is more confident and our nation is more united.
