"Over the past day, 11 forest fires have been liquidated in the service area ... In the control area, on hard-to-reach and remote lands of the forest fund, where extinguishing was suspended by the decision of the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), there are nine thermal points on a total area of 426 hectares," the press said in a statement -services of the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic.
It is specified that the monitoring of fires is carried out using space vehicles.
It is also reported that at the moment in Yakutia, measures are being taken to extinguish ten forest fires.
