This committee worked to implement the strategic vision of the leaderships of the two countries to reach wider, safer and more stable horizons to face the challenges in the region.

Coordinating Council

In 2016, the two countries signed an agreement to establish a coordination council between them, which aims to consult and coordinate matters and topics of common interest in all fields, as the agreement stipulated that the council should meet periodically, alternating between the two countries.

In June 2018, the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia raised the level of bilateral relations between them to unprecedented stages, which included a common vision for integration between the two countries, economically, developmentally and militarily, through 44 joint strategic projects, as part of the "strategy of determination" that 350 officials from the two countries worked on. 139 governmental, sovereign and military bodies within 12 months.

Economic relations

The economic and trade relations between the two countries represent an exceptional and rich model for cooperation and solidarity, as Saudi Arabia is the first Arab trade partner and the third in the world for the UAE, and it accounts for about 7% of the UAE's non-oil trade with the world, and the total volume of non-oil foreign trade between the two countries is about 107.4 billion Dirhams ($ 29.4 billion) during 2018, and the value of Saudi investments in the UAE amounted to 35 billion dirhams, and the number of Emirati projects in Saudi Arabia reached about 114, compared to 206 Saudi projects in the UAE.

The two countries have the two largest Arab economies, and are among the top 10 exporting countries in the world, with the total value of exports of goods and services approaching $ 750 billion in 2018.

The UAE and Saudi Arabia together accounted for two-thirds of Arab exports of non-oil commodities to the world during 2018, and they are ranked sixth in the world in terms of merchandise exports as a whole, according to the World Trade Organization for 2018 figures.

Tourism in the two countries supplies the commercial and economic sectors, and is one of the most promising sectors that provide investment opportunities and attract more joint projects.

Cultural interconnectedness
