In preparation for the simultaneous epidemic of influenza and the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to subsidize up to 260,000 yen per day to clinics that test patients with fever.

When the new coronavirus and influenza spread at the same time, the number of patients complaining of fever is expected to increase rapidly nationwide, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is trying to establish a system that allows medical examinations and tests at clinics.

Therefore, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to subsidize clinics and other institutions so that they can maintain their management even if the number of patients accepted is small.

In principle, 13,447 yen will be paid for each patient who is less than the expected number of patients who have been treated, provided that a dedicated examination room is set up in response to the designation of the prefecture.

The maximum daily amount is over 268,000 yen.

In addition, even in the month when no patient with fever comes, the full amount will be subsidized this month and next month, and half the amount will be subsidized after November.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to allocate 206.8 billion yen from the reserve fund for measures against the new coronavirus in order to secure the necessary budget.
