But as she recalls, in the 1950s and 1960s, as she was growing up, the term “transgender” didn't even exist.

So Caitlyn Jenner has long sought to conform to the standards of her genre, and this mainly by becoming Olympic champion under the name Bruce Jenner.

An inner struggle which, by her own admission, made her a bad parent for her children.

Many regrets

“Those years I was not a good parent.

I had four children.

I was too busy wrestling with my own issues and myself, admitted Caitlyn Jenner.

I very much regret not having been more present for my young children.
