Around 5:40 am on the 13th, a man reported to the police that "a friend drowned in the sea" at Katasekaigan, Fujisawa City.
According to police and fire departments, the whereabouts of a 19-year-old man in Oizumi Town, Gunma Prefecture, were missing, and he had come to the sea from the morning with his friend who reported it.
Police, fire departments, and the Japan Coast Guard are searching the area with rescue boats and helicopters.
The site is near Enoshima, and is usually opened as Katase Higashihama Beach in the summer.
