Recently, Ms. Zhang, a driver of an electric vehicle in Nanjing, did not obey the signal lights when passing through an intersection and ran into a car traveling from west to east.

Although Ms. Zhang was wearing a helmet, she did not fasten the buckle of the helmet. The helmet flew out of her head when the accident happened, and her head was hit.

Diagnosed by the hospital, Ms. Zhang had a small amount of intracranial hemorrhage and many fractures on her body. She is still being treated in the hospital.

In this accident, Ms. Zhang did not abide by the traffic lights and was responsible for this accident.

The car neglected to observe when passing the intersection, and assumed secondary responsibility.

Traffic police reminded that the correct wearing of helmets can help reduce the casualty rate and is an effective means to reduce traffic accidents.

It is hoped that the majority of electric bicycle riders will wear safety helmets correctly for the safety of themselves and others.
