"Avengers" and "Game of Thrones" star Diana Rigg dies at 82

British actress Diana Rigg, who starred from the hit TV series "The Avengers" in the 1960s, to the recently released "Game of Thrones" series, has passed away, aged 82 today.

"It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs. Diana Rigg has passed away peacefully early this morning," said its manager, Simon Beresford, in a statement.

He added, "Mrs. Diana was an icon of theater, television and cinema," noting that she had won many awards from the British Academy (BAFTA), Amy and Tony among other awards for her film and television work.
