"I want to visit Sixing Warehouse", this is the wish of 68-year-old Zhang Jianmin from Lanxi, Jinhua, Zhejiang.

Zhang Jianmin's father, Zhang Weiyuan, was from Zhang Village, Ganxi, Lanxi City, Jinhua, Zhejiang. He was a survivor of the "eight hundred heroes" of the Shanghai Sixing Warehouse in 1937.

"In 1995, when the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall was being built, my father donated the'Commemorative Statue of Head Xie Jinyuan' commemorative badge and the badge of the'Four Elements Lone Army'. He planned to go back to the Sixing Warehouse when the memorial hall was opened. However, in 1996, father He passed away and didn't catch up with the opening of the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial. He walked in a hurry and left nothing." Zhang Jianmin, the second son of Zhang Weiyuan, has always felt very sorry.

When the reporter asked if he had gone to see the movie "Yu Bai," he said that he hadn't, but he wanted to go to the place where his father fought.

Zhang Weiyuan’s resting place is near Zhang Jianmin’s home.

There is a newer tombstone in front of the tomb, which reads: Zhang Weiyuan's character Deyou (1916-1996) was ordered to cover the strategic transfer of large forces during the famous Songhu War of Resistance, and was surrounded by the enemy after completing the mission In the "Four Lines Warehouse" in Shanghai, the enemy was defeated countless times in four days and nights until the ammunition and food were exhausted.

This action greatly encouraged the people and the government to fight against Japan, and was dubbed by the world as "the four-line lone army, eight hundred strong men."

After being imprisoned by the Japanese army for seven years, he suffered all kinds of humiliation, no treason, no change of festival, and iron blood!

In 1984, the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government built the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial on the site of the original Sihang Warehouse Battlefield. All officers and soldiers in the regiment were hailed as "national heroes". On September 4, 2014, they were awarded the first batch of national "anti-Japanese war" "Hero" collective title.

"Father is the hero in our hearts." Zhang Xuemin, Zhang Weiyuan's youngest son, said that this new monument was erected five years ago when Zhang Weiyuan was 100 years old.

"Father's life is too rough, we want to tell the children about his father's deeds."

"Father rarely tells previous stories," Zhang Jianmin patted his left shoulder and said that there was a wound on his left shoulder caused by the war of resistance. When he was a child, he dared not ask, nor would his father tell.

It was not until the 1990s when the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial was being built when a reporter came to interview at home that he knew that his father, who had always been loyal and rigorous in life, turned out to be a hero.

As for what Zhang Weiyuan experienced in the war, the understanding of subsequent generations mainly comes from the published books and manuscripts.

According to Zhang Jianmin, Zhang Weiyuan's uncle Tang Huanwen graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy and served as a deputy battalion commander.

Zhang Weiyuan studied at a private school and ranked second among the four brothers. When he was old enough to join the army, he followed his uncle to the army as a clerical instrument.

Xie Jimin, the son of General Xie Jinyuan, who led eight hundred heroes to fight in blood, has this record in the book "My Father, General Xie Jinyuan: One Eight Hundred Heroes in Bloody Battle": Zhang Weiyuan studied in a private school in his hometown in Lanxi for several years, with a bit of culture. He found a few boxes in the warehouse on the second floor and set it up as a table. He took a bowl and poured oil, used cotton as a lamp, lit a small oil lamp, and wrote a letter for himself and the brothers in the third row.

He thought to himself that after writing the letter and explaining the future, everyone can kill the enemy with peace of mind.

I hope that the brothers who leave first, bless us, eliminate more devils, and die vigorously.

"Lanxi Literature and History Materials" were edited by the Lanxi CPPCC in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, and published memoirs such as Zhang Weiyuan's "Reminiscence of the War of Resistance against Japan at the Four Line Warehouse in Shanghai" and "Eight Years of Lonely Life".

The article records the "eight hundred warriors" guarding the four-row warehouse and the lives of the lone soldiers after they left the four-row warehouse.

Chen Xingbing, vice chairman of the Zhejiang Lanxi Political Consultative Conference, told reporters that Zhang Weiyuan was a combat soldier in the second company of the first battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division.

In the last battle of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, there were also many Jinhua people in Zhejiang.

For example, Jiang Jing (Jiang Yu), platoon commander of the second company of the first battalion of the 524th Regiment (deceased in the war), Shu Guanggou of the 524th Regiment (deceased in the war), and combat soldiers of the second company of the first battalion of the 524th Regiment Tang Bainian, Tang Huanwen, deputy commander of the first battalion of the 524th Regiment, and Cao Juren, a war correspondent.

After reading Zhang Weiyuan's memoirs, Chen Xingbing said that Zhang Weiyuan's narration is very delicate and precious.

"Furthermore, he also described in detail the life of the'solitary barracks', which is not in the movie."

There is a scene in the movie "Yabai" that moved many audiences. The soldiers jumped out of the window with grenade on their backs in order to stop the enemy's tank.

There is also a record in Zhang Weiyuan's memory: the enemy is approaching inch by inch, and Squad Leader Jiang is preparing to withdraw to the warehouse. He is shot and fell to the ground, seriously injured and unable to move.

He gritted his teeth and ordered the deputy squad leader to lead the surviving soldiers to fight and retreat.

The deputy squad leader wanted to carry him on his back, but was rejected by squad leader Jiang, and severely ordered: "Quickly retreat, time is pressing, I will cover, this is an order!" As he said, he opened the two grenades in front of him. Bite the string in your mouth.

At this time, the enemy rushing in front reached out and grabbed people. Squad leader Jiang broke the string and made a "bang". The enemy in front of him was blown down, and he himself died in the sound of the explosion.

Xie Tuan attached tears to his eyes as he witnessed the heroic sacrifice of Squad Leader Jiang.

"Eight Years of the Lone Army" written by Zhang Weiyuan records the life of 800 warriors who left the Sixing warehouse and entered the solitary army camp. The freedom of the solitary army camp in the concession was restricted, but Xie Tuanfu insisted on the flag raising ceremony before daily morning exercises.

Soon, the concession was stopped because of fear of Japanese invaders, and the 800 soldiers changed to "spirit raising the flag" every day.

Later, through an armed struggle, the concession side finally returned the flag to show its determination to fight to the end.

Zhang Jianmin introduced that his father and his comrades in arms were detained by the Japanese for many years during the War of Resistance Against Japan. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Zhang Weiyuan first became a railway policeman and met his wife by chance. Later, due to difficulties in life, he returned to his hometown in Lanxi, Jinhua. He taught and participated. Railway construction, working as a cashier and farming in the countryside.

In the eyes of the son, the father is taciturn, while being great, rigorous, serious, and loyal.

The son once joked and asked his mother why he would like his father.

The mother's answer was that your father was honest and loyal. He was detained in a Japanese prison for seven years without apostasy. That is enough.

"Father's smile gradually increased after the reform and opening up." Opening the album of "eight hundred strong men" Zhang Weiyuan's family, Zhang Weiyuan looked into the distance at his 79th birthday party with a smile on his face.

Zhang Xiaohu, the grandson of Zhang Weiyuan, once went to the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and took pictures of the memorial bricks with Zhang Weiyuan's name printed on them, and they were also spread to the family group. The two brothers Zhang Jianmin and Zhang Xuemin kept their photos.

Now, the brothers Zhang Jianmin and Zhang Xuemin are looking forward to going to the Shanghai Sixing Warehouse, the place where the "eight hundred warriors" of their parents once fought.

According to the reporter's understanding, on September 10, Lanxi City, Zhejiang will hold a symposium on "Lanxi Spirit of the Four Lines Warehouse", preparing to republish the album of related literature and historical materials, and organize the descendants of the "800 Heroes" from Lanxi to Shanghai to pay homage to the martyrs in due course.
