The 77th Venice International Film Festival kicks off in Italy. The opening ceremony was dedicated to the memory of the Italian composer Ennio Morricone. The guests of the event were the director Pedro Almodovar, the writer Nicola Lajoya, actors Tilda Swinton, Cate Blanchett, Ludivine Sagnier, Matt Dillon and other filmmakers. The ceremony was followed by a screening of the drama "Family Knot" by Italian director Daniele Luchetti.
